Holy Thursday is my Fav part of Easter. Here’s why…(*it is the real me.)

I submit this reading for this season.  (*I am not a fundamentalist, but just being myself. ) Otherwise I blow with the wind and the politics that I already hate.  I also hate being superficial and not down to Earth and putting importance where importance need not be.

Readers:  I am going to my  Personal Catholic roots today and making a point to let everyone know this is the source of my kindness and whatever love in my life and makes me MYSELF..  It is beyond the argument and politics WHERE PEOPLE THINK OR BELIEVE CHRISTIAN FAITH EXISTS.

Here is the post that I made to FB tonight.  I rarely push my faith on anyone there, all or most of them 699 are classmates from my schooling.

Here goes:

MOST IMPORTANT: READ THIS AND Sigh. This is my fav night in the church calendar BESIDES MY BIRTHDAY. smile emoticon Even if you are NOT CATHOLIC RESPECT THAT AND THIS: SERVICE IS DEEP AND SO IS PRAYER. I HAVE A LEFT HAND AND A RIGHT HAND. This is my Body, this is My Blood. Jesus said it and I believe it. If you don’t like it and take it as a symbol Take it up with the Boss Above. No superficial and no politics and no voting about this It is not about terrorists and not about fear, but love. Don’t try and get a hold of me via phone tonight, because I will be praying for the ppl I went to school with – MOST OF YOU. It is our vigil before Good Friday and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. I don’t push my faith on my friends but this is the deep part of me where I hope caring comes out. OK? I don’t miss this. In years past, I have even gone when I’ve had the flu. Got that? This is about real love of God .MO

The Conspiracy Against Jesus.
aNow the feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover,*was drawing near,
band the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to put him to death, for they were afraid of the people.
cThen Satan entered into Judas,*the one surnamed Iscariot, who was counted among the Twelve,d
and he went to the chief priests and temple guards to discuss a plan for handing him over to them.
They were pleased and agreed to pay him money.
He accepted their offer and sought a favorable opportunity to hand him over to them in the absence of a crowd.
Preparations for the Passover.e
When the day of the feast of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb,f
he sent out Peter and John, instructing them, “Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.”
They asked him, “Where do you want us to make the preparations?”
And he answered them, “When you go into the city, a man will meet you carrying a jar of water.*Follow him into the house that he enters
and say to the master of the house, ‘The teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
He will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Make the preparations there.”
Then they went off and found everything exactly as he had told them, and there they prepared the Passover.g
The Last Supper.h
When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles.
He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover*with you before I suffer,
for, I tell you, I shall not eat it [again] until there is fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”i
Then he took a cup,*gave thanks, and said, “Take this and share it among yourselves;
for I tell you [that] from this time on I shall not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
*jThen he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me.”
And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you.

I have lived here in the Tampa Bay area for over 40 years. I am a native of New York. The purpose of this blog is to show what it is like to live here. This is Florida’s Daily life. Paradise has “moments” too. This blog attempts to reflect my Catholic Christian faith with balance and sunshine and a crack at holy humor. I have a real sense of humor. It is hot here. I sweat.
